Falsetto choir with

David Hurley

Polyphonic falsetto choir.

After the success of the first men’s workshop on 10 June 2017, the falsetto choir started in November: a unique choir exclusively for tenors, baritones and basses singing polyphonically in falsetto.

David Hurley coaches the men who really want to master the use of the highest regions of their voices. The choir rehearses once a quarter and is made up of 24 men.

  • Participants are expected to spend the necessary time studying and practising their parts at home.
  • The language of instruction is English. Koorschool Delft provides additional information in advance so that the meaning and pronunciation of song texts in English or other foreign languages should not cause any difficulties.

The falsetto choir will also give a concert. The date is yet to be scheduled.

David Hurley sang for more than 25 years with the globally immensely popular male sextet The King’s Singers from Great Britain. It is almost impossible to imagine a vocal ensemble with a wider repertoire in every conceivable genre.

A couple of years ago, David gave a younger colleague the opportunity to take his place with The King’s Singers. As a teacher, he now focuses entirely on passing on his phenomenal knowledge and experience.
