Dear followers of the Musical Advent Calendar 2020,
It has taken a while, but I can now report that the calendar raised the impressive amount of € 1,500 for the Red Cross! Together with all the contributors to the calendar, I am extremely proud and pleased with this result. These proceeds are the crowning achievement of the success of the Advent calendar for which we have received many enthusiastic responses.
We have received a letter of thanks from the Red Cross which is of course for all of you.

Will the Advent project have a successor? I have been asked this question repeatedly and the answer is a resounding Yes! We are working on it. More about this will follow soon in the newsletter and on the website.

Dear Petra Weijers,
I would like to thank you very much for your wonderful donation of € 1,500 to the Dutch Red Cross. Your donation will go towards our aid in the fight against corona. We are very grateful to you and your colleagues for the support you are giving us.
The spread of the coronavirus has given rise to many questions and much uncertainty. Anyone with concerns or questions or in need of a sympathetic ear can contact the Red Cross Helpline. The Red Cross also supports general practitioners, hospitals and municipal health services. We transport people who are (or may be) infected with the coronavirus to and from healthcare facilities. Volunteers help make shopping lists and pack and deliver food parcels. The help provided by the Red Cross will be necessary for a long time to come.
Your donation means that the Red Cross can continue to assist anyone who needs help in these difficult times and I thank you for this once again.
